The Experienced Accountant’s Pathway is designed for senior accounting professionals with extensive practical experience who are seeking the RPA (Registered Professional Accountant) designation.

If you have 10 or more years of senior-level experience in roles such as Controller, CFO, or equivalent, you may qualify for this accelerated pathway. Your work history, leadership responsibilities, and technical competencies will be evaluated in place of formal academic coursework.

Experienced Accountant Pathway Interview Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Applicants under the Experienced Accountant Pathway to the RPA Designation are expected to attend their interview on the scheduled date and time.

  • 72-Hour Notice: Applicants who need to cancel or reschedule must provide RPA Canada with at least 72 hours’ notice before the scheduled interview.
  • Rescheduling with Proper Notice: When at least 72 hours’ notice is provided, the interview may be rescheduled without a rescheduling fee, subject to interviewer availability.
  • Less Than 72 Hours’ Notice: Cancellations or rescheduling requests received less than 72 hours before the scheduled interview are subject to the applicable rescheduling fee. The fee must be paid before another interview can be scheduled and confirmed.
  • No-Show: Applicants who do not attend their scheduled interview without prior notice will be subject to cancellation of their application.
  • New Interview Date: All rescheduled interviews are subject to the availability of RPA Canada and the assigned interviewers.

Payment of a rescheduling fee does not guarantee a specific interview date or time.
